🍏Junior Infants have been learning about their five senses, and what better way to explore them all by making their own apple crumble.
🍎The children listened very carefully to the teachers because baking can have some risks if we are not sensible.
🍏The children took turns peeling and chopping apples. They safety demonstrated how to use peelers and knives.
🍎They poured, mixed and rubbed the flour, butter and sugar in to a bread crumb effect.
🍏 We put the crumb mixture over the sliced apples in a baking dish.
🍎 We left it to bake in Mrs Dowdall's oven. Mrs Dowdall said she would try very hard not to eat it because it smelled AMAZING!!
🍏 Once the pie was baked we were so excited to taste it!
🍎 Some boys and girls have declared that they will be baking the pie again at home- you lucky parents are in for a treat!😀💕
