Congratulations to our student of the week Josh!

In maths this week First Class have been adding three numbers together within 15 using a numberline as well as other strategies. They played Hit the Button to help with mental maths skills.
In English we focused on writing a recount of a story. The children created their own monsters and described them using lots of adjectives. They have been doing some brilliant handwriting. We focused on the 'ladder' letter family.
In Irish we learned how to explain if someone was sick.
In Geography we completed a Transport Survey to find out the most and least popular ways of getting to school.
In History we looked at what life was like in schools long ago.
The children went for an Autumn walk and we gathered some lovely items for our display table. They used the leaves collected to make leaf print rubbings. They also painted some lovely Autumn tree pictures
