A week of celebrations in 6th class
Happy International Women's Day to all the wonderful women. Our focus in 6th class was on famous Irish Women. Following on from our visit to Áras an Uachtaráin the children were particularly interested in learning about our women Presidents, Mary Robinson and Mary McAleese.
World Book Day
We celebrated World Book Day with second class this week and read with them in the library. We also dressed up and picked our favourite word associated with our costumes or uniform.
Gaeilge
We were practicing the Siege of Ennis dance for our upcoming ceilí. We also continued to use our Gaeilge neamhfhoirmiúil (informal Irish) this week and next week to celebrate Seachtain na Gaeilge, (Irish language week).
Here is the link for the Siege of Ennis. Have fun!
