Amazing Autumn π
4th Oct 2024
π A lovely week in Junior Infants
π This week the boys and girls have been learning about the changes that take place in nature over autumn. We talked about the changes in the plants and animals, the weather, and shorter daylight.
π We have been practicing recognising and writing our names.
π We are learning to write βοΈ number one 1οΈβ£... start at the top and down we run, that's the way we make a one π₯³
π We learned about the different parts of our hands- 10 fingers, 2 thumb, knuckles and bones. We drew around our hand and discussed the ways we use our hands every day- clapping, playing, tidying, eating, sharing and helping to name a few.
π We listened to the story of Elmer the Elephant. Everyone loves Elmer because he is different and he loves making people laugh. Imagine a world where everyone was the same π―. We are all very special children β€οΈ Talk to us about what makes us specialπ We have made BEAUTIFUL cut and stick pictures of Elmer! Honestly, they are class!
π We have been practicing saying Humpty Dumpty. We added a clap- slap rhythm to keep a steady beat. We used pictures to sequence the unfortunate events of Humpty Dumpty.
π Well done on a great week of work boys and girls. You are all SUPERSTARS π
