Another Week of Learning and Creativity
Martin Luther King Jr.
We explored Martin Luther King Jr. a leader who championed nonviolentvresistance and delivered the iconic "I have a dream" speech. Our Students discussed watched and wrote about their own dreams for their further. I am happy to report the future looks bright 🌟
Rosa Parks
We also discussed Rosa Parks, whose defiance and bravery remind us how one individual can have in the fight for justice.
English Maths Irish
We also explored some scenarios in oral language this week and acted some scenes from trenches, a history museum, a posh restaurant and a scene from Home Alone!
We continued to work on homophones, vocabulary work and comprehension skills in English. Angles, tables, long division, long multiplication in maths and Bia ( food) in Irish, designing Biachlár (menu) and reading stories about ordering food.
Author Visit
We also had the pleasure of welcoming Christopher Menary, who kindly gave his time to explore his new novel, The Coin from the Boyne.
He also reminded the children about the importance of following their dreams. The children look forward to continuing to read his book.
