🧮This week the boys and girls have been working on addition within 5. The children built towers of 5 using Mathlink cubes and broke the tower in to two pieces to show different combinations of making 5, for example 1 and 4, 2 and 3 0 and 5.
📚 In literacy, we listened to the story of 'The Crunching Munching Caterpillar' and we have been practising writing ✍️ our alphabet. Our sound this week was the /x/ sound.
🌍 In SESE we are learning about animals and their young.
🎨 In Art, we got lots of beautiful entries for the Don Keating Art Competition. If it was up to me you would all be winners because your pictures were FANTASTIC!
🤸♀️🤸♂️ In PE we had a special dance workshop 🕺 💃 and we got to do it outside in the sun 🌞 amazing fun!
🇮🇪In Irish we are learning about rooms and equipment we have in the house 🏠 and counting numbers up to 5.
