Building a classroom of confidence, leadership and teamwork!
“Great teachers focus not on compliance, but on connections and relationships.” PJ Caposey.
Over this past 2 weeks in our class we have been working on teamwork, teaching the pupils about RESPECT and helping them become unique - independent learners.
Within our SESE topic we have been researching our chosen Village , Town & City. Working in our teams to build a bank of factual information and use this is design a poster and present it to other classes & staff members in our school.
The children all did incredible and I’m very proud of them all!
During our maths lesson we carried out research for our data collecting topic asking our peers questions such as, What is your favourite ice cream flavour? What is your favourite hobby? From the data collected we were able to discuss our most and least favourite and further discuss our findings - building up mathematical vocabulary and open discussion.
English & Cross curriculum was building reports on our favourite animals. We visited our library and took some books back to class to start our reports.
Fantastic Mr.Fox is our guided reading novel we are enjoying together as a whole class.
Our displays are up in our classroom and throughout the school showing the hard work put in so far this term by Ms.Hanratty’s class. “There is no “I” In TEAM”
Well done to Jamie & Anabiya (from last week) and Noah & Patrick (this week) on receiving Ms.Hanratty’s Star of the week awards.
