🤷♀️🤷♂️ How do the Junior Infants prepare for pre-writing skills?
🌞We are strengthening our fingers and developing hand/ eye co ordination every day by spending a little time practicing a variety of 'fine motor skills'.
🌞 We build with stickle bricks and lego
🌞 We thread beads and spools
🌞 We place pegs on to peg boards
🌞 We sort buttons
🌞 We use tweezers to sort mini pom poms
🌞 Finger painting
🌞 Dough disco (play dough)
The children are showing excellent focus and they always enjoy this time.... especially if they are allowed to get a little bit messy sometimes!!
