Our relay team competed against seven other local schools in the Calaroga Cup, an annual inter-school relay competition, which was held in the Friary field Thursday 30th May 2024.
The history of this event dates back to the ‘60’s and has involved many of Dundalk’s best athletes. The cup was originally sponsored by the Dominican fathers and was named after the birthplace of St. Dominic in Spain.
We are extremely proud of the boys who showed great determination, team work and a positive growth mindset.
The boys got off to a great start coming in an impressive second place in the heats to secure an automatic place in the final.
In an exciting final race the boys claimed third place and proudly took the bronze medals back to Scoil Eoin Baiste!
