Celebrations in Junior Infants

7th Feb 2025
๐Ÿ’We have not stopped celebrating in Junior Infants!
We had festivities for the Lunar New Year (year of the snake), ๐ŸGrandparents Day and St.Brigid's Day.โœจ๏ธ

๐Ÿ’We have loved singing our song to St. Brigid. We are told that St.Brigid brings the spring so we have been learning about a beautiful flower that grows at the beginning  of spring, the snow drop (plúiríní sneachta). We have painted, cut and glued beautiful snow drops which we displayed in the hall. Amazing!

๐Ÿ’We were so proud to welcome our grandparents to our school. Thank you for listening to our singing, helping us with our art and playing with us. It was a really wonderful occasion.

๐Ÿ’ We are learning the names of some 3D shapes, and properties which allow a shape to roll. We then sorted shapes into groups of 'rollers' and 'non rollers'. The Junior Infants really enjoy singing the 3D shape song ๐ŸŽต ๐Ÿ˜€ ๐ŸŽถ . We know cube , ๐ŸŽฒ cone, ๐Ÿฆsphere ๐Ÿ€ and cylinder๐Ÿฅซ.

๐Ÿ’ We have listened and reenacted some of our favourite stories. We know the story of 'Elmer in the Snow' and 'The Gingerbread Man'. Everyone had great fun pretending to be different characters and joining in with 'Run, run as fast as you can. You can't catch me I'm the Gingerbread Man!'  ๐Ÿ‘ต๐Ÿ‘ด๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿด๐Ÿท๐ŸฆŠ

๐Ÿ’ In Gaeilge ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ชwe are learning about clothes ( Éadaì) ๐Ÿ‘’๐Ÿ‘–๐Ÿงฅ๐Ÿ‘•๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

๐Ÿ’ Well done everyone ๐Ÿ‘  see you next week,
Mrs Craven โœจ๏ธ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’œ
