A special visitor came to meet First Class this week. Hamlet the dog and his trainer Des from Irish Guide Dogs came to see us as part of our topic of 'Animals' and the children learned about the important work these fantastic dogs do to help people. They got to ask Des questions such as, "What age are guide dogs when they start training?", "What sort of things can they be trained to do?" and "What do they do to relax?"We even found out when Hamlet's birthday is! The children received a special Irish Guide Dogs pencil and most importantly got a cuddle from Hamlet.
