ENGLISH
We continue to develop our writing skills in sixth class. The children formed groups discussing the various writing styles. They read the story 'Once' a story with a sense of power, hope,resilience and courage.
We continued to work on sound suffixes able, able.The children continued to develop their vocabulary, compression skills and worked on presentation this week.
MATHS
In maths we continued to work on decimals. Expressing tenths, hundreds, and thousandth as fractions and decimals, identify place value of whole numbers and worked on problem solving skills .
IRISH
In Irish we were introduced to Caitheamh Aimsire, (hobbies) this week and played games to further develop our oral irish skills.
CONFIRMATION
The children are busy preparing for confirmation and their books have been sent home. Please make sure that these are completed regularly. Confirmation date 5th April.
GAA NEWS
We want to thank Sean from Clann na gael GFC who is coaching Gaelic to our girls and boys. We are delighted to have him with us teaching the children new skills in a fun engaging way.
