😝If we told you the Junior Infants first lesson of the day was to make a huge mess, would you believe us? Probably not! But that's what happened!
😝Catherine from Beyond the Bump came to our school and prepared several trays of messy materials for our infants play with.
😜 All the trays were arranged beautifully and Catherine based these on the theme of 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar'🐛 which we know all about! It was our story of the week, last week.
😜The trays didn't stay beautiful for long though, when the infants got stuck in! We squeezed, squelched, poured, scooped, stirred, dipped and sculpted all the messy materials into art, pretend food and anything else we wanted to make!
😜 The children adored this kind of play and were totally engrossed in each activity.
😜 We loved seeing the parents playing alongside the children. Maybe you will feel inspired to make more messes at home 😉
