Mrs.Hanratty says goodbye to a wonderful group of children!

18th Oct 2024

Mrs Hanratty says goodbye after 2 months teaching 3rd & 4th B!
it’s been great teaching you all - we grew together, started our brand new term together, learned loads of new things and bloomed together:) 👋🏫

Another busy week in our classroom environment!
🔢Maths- was all about data handling and information gathering

✍️English - peer teaching - High frequency words and compiling our reports based on “my role model” the children used the Chromebooks to gather up some interesting facts.

📚It is very important we continue reading and immersing the children with the wide variety of books of all genres. Our book box is looking fuller every week.

Imagination to think big."
- Taylor Swift

We are really enjoying our guided reading novel - only 3 chapters to go!

🗣️SPHE - it’s important to celebrate the different cultures & traditions all the boys and girls have.
Within our class lots of different languages are spoken at home. The children got to put the word “hello” on the door in their first language. These were to see.

🎶music - listening to sounds from our outside environment and using musical instruments to recreate these sounds.

🎨Art-we got creative with our soft pastels “Halloween Art”

🙏The children all received a blessed medal.I got these from the blessing of the children’s mass last Sunday

🏊‍♂️Our 6 weeks of swimming has ended and it was a huge success well done everyone!

⭐️Aisha, Oliwia & Hayden all received my star of the week.

Keep up the great hard work & effort everyone! You are all shining stars!
