This week in 3rd & 4th A
8th Apr 2025
Here is an idea of some of the work we have been doing the past week,
English: We have continued reading our novel, The Twits. We have done some creative writing - writing our own Revolting Recipes inspired by the tricks played by Mr. & Mrs. Twit.
We have been looking at rhyming words and how to use our dictionaries effectively.
Maths: We have been working really hard on our multiplication, addition & subtraction. We have had so much fun working on problems in groups and explaining our methods to complete the problems - remembering that making mistakes makes us better mathematicians!

Gaeilge: We have continued learning about An Aimsir (The Weather) - lots of fantastic conversations as Gaeilge and the children's writing in Irish is really improving - well done!
The following link gives lots of ideas for practicing An Aimsir,

PE: Athletics was our focus this week - we were lucky enough to have an expert visit the school and give the teachers lots of new ideas and games to use in our PE lessons. The pupils really enjoyed this and we incorporated lots of new games into our lessons.
