This week we worked on fractions. Starting with equivalent fractions and progressing to proper and improper fractions. The children then applied their new learning to work problems. Ask them at home what they know about fractions.

We continued to develop our reading and vocabulary. We worked through comprehension and finished the week with creative writing using the advice from Chris the author.

The kids had the best of fun learning how to play uni hoc. Didn't get photos but will next week. Congratulations to Erin and Mohamed who won the playoffs
History/Geography
We have started a project researching different festivals from here and from around the world such as Chinese new year. Children are working in groups to create a presentation about the festival and then hopefully make some food to share with the class from that region. Feel free to join in and help out if you can.
