This Week In 5th Class
15th Nov 2024
We have had another busy and productive week
Maths
We focused on everyone's favourite topic..... MONEY!! The kids learned how to add up bills, get the correct change and progressed to multi step word problems of booking holidays using adding, subtraction, division and multiplying.
English
We had a special visit from a school child's father who has written a book about local Louth mythology, intertwined with friendship and adventure. He gave the kids some great advice for their own writing. We have also focused on reading and increasing our vocabulary.
Irish
Learned about lots of different food types ranging from breakfast to dinner. Learning to verbs cuir(put) and rinne(did/make) with our vocabulary so we could describe our what we put in sandwiches and made for dinner. Encourage this at home
Christmas Play
Kids have been creating art to go along with our Christmas play, learning their lines and songs. We hope to impress you all in a few weeks time 😁
They all have a script with them feel free to practice characters!!!
