Another busy week in First Class!

In Maths we have been learning about doubles and number bonds to 10.

In English we read the story of Max the Hedgehog and how he crossed the road safely. We explored the importance of verbs and adjectives and worked in teams to make some super sentences.

In Irish we have been learning lots of new vocabulary to describe what we see on the way to school.

In Geography the children learned the importance of recycling and in History they compiled a list of questions to ask an older person about school from long ago.In Science we investigated different materials and whether they were transparent, translucent or opaque.

In Art the children responded to the story of the 'Rainbow Fish' by creating their own colourful fish using sugar paper. In Music we gave been enjoying listening to music by ABBA.
